The software Project Manager (PM) will manage software projects throughout the entire project life cycle, from initiation to deployment. The PM will work cross-functionally alongside various teams within our growing company. Our cross-disciplinary teams include developers, technical artists, 3D artists, Art Directors, UX & UI designers, and support staff dedicated to software quality and an extraordinary user experience.
To be successful as a software PM, you should have an excellent working knowledge of project estimation techniques, agile methodologies and the ability to assign tasks through a project management platform and motivate the team to success.
Main Responsibilities
- Project Estimation and Planning – determine project scope and objectives, predict resources needed to reach goals, build and maintain project plan, ensure it is kept up-to-date and adjust with ongoing project activities, and maintain accurate project forecasts. Appropriately identify when the program/project is “off track” to project plans and take immediate corrective actions, including adjusting plans to account for corrections.
- Project Communication – identify and manage all stakeholders effectively and provide visibility and transparency so stakeholders can take appropriate action.
- Team Management – manage stakeholder relationships and ensure strong communication plans.
- Risk Management – identify and plan the resolution of program risks.
- Project Performance – identify and recommend improvement opportunities by analyzing consistent themes in lessons learned information.
- Program Transparency – deliver accurate and timely reporting of progress, impediments and surfacing dependencies to senior management and customers.
- Dependency Management – lead analysis and ensure all impacts of dependencies are addressed in the overall project plan. Effectively work across the organization to ensure all dependent teams are aligned with the project plans and schedules.
- Project Accounting – apply company financial measures to monitor and track financial health to meet strategic goals.
- Quality Assurance – determine and oversee verification of team deliverables during all project’s life span and identify issues to be addressed.
- Delivery and Deployment – deliver finished software products to clients and write software release notes to communicate the changes and best practices for deployment.
- Follow-up – collaborate with leaders on action items and follow-up requests.
Essential Skills/Experience Required
- 3-5 years of project management and related operations experience. Active participant in all phases of the project; typical projects may include the entire lifecycle from initiation through to deployment or specific parts of the lifecycle of a larger project.
- Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and SCRUM
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- An ability to drive to big-picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and an ability to manage competing demands with attention to detail and a focus on execution

Desired Skills
